Columbia Gorge Inn

These rooms ain't so bad, but the way the owner cares that you're comfortable goes above and beyond. I've never been treated better at a motel. A block from all necessities, this is the place if you're on a budget.

Good price, solid room, especially since we only needed one night. The manager/owner was very sweet and accomodations when we were running behind. Rooms were just fine, we had: microwave, fridge, coffee pot. The bed and pillows were a little stiff. Overall a very good experience, will definitely be here in the way future.

Very nice place. We have enjoyed a night off the PCT here. For hikers this place might be one of the best choices to rest and get organized. The local grocery store is right next to the INN. The rooms are clean, comfy and quiet. Artie at the reception is a funny and very sympathetic person with a good hearth.

The manager is so incredibly friendly. There was a change in our plans due to an additional child coming on our trip, and he gave a great deal on an additional room. He has been very accommodating in meeting every request we have, even loaning us some dishes and silverware when we got dinner and forgot plates and forks the view is really nice and its a peaceful, quiet area. We are thoroughly enjoying our little break from the city.

Had a great stay for 5 days. Originally only planned to stay for two nights but the customer service was phenomenal and the price was very affordable. Plus, you can't beat the location as everything is within walking distance. It is well lit at night. They have an ice-machine and ice cold coke vending machine on-site. Housekeeping does an awesome job making sure you have everything you need. Call and speak with Artie and tell him you heard about The Columbia Gorge Inn from Jeff and they will take really good care of you.

The rooms were honestly not great, for the price. But, they were clean. The first we were offered, we rejected because of the strong stale cigarette odor. However, to his credit - the manager (I’m assuming it was the manager or owner) was very accommodating & quick to offer a replacement room that was clean. It’s not luxury, by any means, but it’s decent. Bed was comfortable. And, the service is good. Scenery is beautiful, and close to other local attractions.

Very kind workers. Old building, therefore outdated floor plan but I had zero issues. The bathrooms aren't unusual to me because I've lived in other countries where the shower and toilet share space. Great price and great hosts. Only thing I'd say is the sofa chairs need a cleaning.

I recently stayed at this older hotel while in town for a few days, and I have to say—it was a truly pleasant experience. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Every interaction—with who I believe to be the owner—was friendly, helpful, and genuine. It’s clear that they truly care about their guests and take pride in creating a comfortable atmosphere. My room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed for a restful stay. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, and I appreciated the little touches like extra towels and a quick response to a late-last minute need to find a place to stay in the area. The location is also a big plus—convenient to local restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions. It’s a great home base for anyone visiting the area who values service and hospitality over flashy amenities. If you’re looking for a luxurious, ultra-modern hotel, this might not be the place. But if you value a welcoming environment, top-notch service, and a solid, dependable stay, I highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town.
